The Tuscany PODAS workshop has been running for two days now. We have an excellent group of attendees from all over the world and two fantastic Instructors. We kicked off day one after picking everyone up from the Rome airport Upon arriving at the hotel after the drive from Rome we did introductions and handed out Phase One camera systems to everyone. Monday and Tuesday we were up and out the door by 5:45 AM for sunrise images. This is followed by a breakfast and programs at mid morning until lunch. So far Kevin Raber has presented Capture One and 2 workflows and Art Wolfe gave a very inspiring talk on seeing differently. In the afternoon we go out to various locations and stay out sunset. Since Art’s program everyone was using their new found inspiration to see differently and take shots different. Of course we had a nice dinner each evening accompanied by great local wine. The workshops goes until Sunday so check back for more.
There are a number of workshops that are not PODAS workshops, yet we will be there. The first was a workshop held recently by Andy Biggs. Andy is a Phase One user and a PODAS instructor. He leads workshops in various parts of the world. For a number of workshops like these we tag along brining Phase One cameras and lenses that attendees can use and experience medium format digital with. This workshop covered Canyon lands and Arches National Parks. The light and weather cooperated greatly and we were all able to take great images. a number of attendees were already Phase One owners. Many were using ALPA Technical cameras. The image above shows the group with Phase One cameras ready to shoot a sunset. The images below are a small sample of the great images we were able to capture.
We have another tag along workshop in Iceland next month and then a Phase One PODAS in Tuscany in April. Stay tuned to the PODAS blog for some cool information real soon.
It’s always good to see the Phase One products get high marks. The latest achievement is the DXO test rating the IQ180 digital back the highest score ever. The IQ backs are unique in design, interface, and more than anything else image quality. Check the review out by CLICKING HERE.
