Jenis ini digunakan dalam bentuk fisiknya. Contohnya besi, kayu, serat kapas, dan emas. Sumber daya alam energi. Sumber ini digunakan dengan memanfaatkan potensinya sebagai energi. Contohnya minyak bumi, gas bumi, air terjun, dan sinar matahari. Sumber daya alam ruang.

Ada banyak alasan mengapa energi terbarukan harus dikembangkan dan dimanfaatkan secara luas. Alasannya adalah ketersediaannya yang melimpah, tidak menghasilkan polusi serta emisi karbon, dan membuat masyarakat mandiri dalam mengupayakan energi sendiri. Renewable energy is energy that is collected from renewable resources that are naturally replenished on a human timescale. it includes sources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves, and geothermal heat. Although most renewable energy sources are sustainable, some are not. for example, some biomass sources are considered unsustainable at current rates of exploitation.     The University of Arizona and TEP signed a large-scale renewable energy agreement in August 2019. This partnership will bring the University to net zero for scope two emissions, and will mitigate 30% of the university's total greenhouse gas emissions. When both sites are fully online, the University will receive half of its annual grid-based energy from the Oso Grande Wind Project in Southeast New Mexico and the other half from the Wilmot Energy Center south of Tucson.

    University of Arizona President Robert C. Robbins talks with TEP’s new President and CEO, Susan Gray and Trevor Ledbetter, Director of the Office of Sustainability about this exciting project, the largest utility-university renewable energy partnership in North America.

    Salah satu prinsip dasar operasi dari sistem ketenagalistrikan adalah bahwa daya listrik yang dibangkitkan pada sistem harus selalu sama dengan daya listrik yang dikonsumsi dan rugi-rugi yang terjadi, artinya antara daya pembangkitan dan konsumsi harus selalu seimbang pada setiap saat. Pada sistem tenaga listrik yang beroperasi menggunakan teknologi arus bolak-baik, frekuensi sistem harus selalu konstan, dengan nilai deviasi yang dibatasi secara praktis dengan sangat ketat, pada kondisi operasi normal maupun pada kondisi dinamik atau transien. Frekuensi sistem ini juga menjadi indikator terhadap keseimbangan – atau ketidakseimbangan – antara daya pembangkitan dan konsumsi pada sistem. Salah satu tugas operator sistem tenaga listrik adalah menjagai frekuensi konstan pada setiap saat.
    Lalu apa dampak dari pembangkit Energi Baru Terbarukan (EBT) yang bersifat intermiten terhadap sistem?
    Dalam kuliah tamu ini akan diterangkan secara umum prinsip-prinsip dasar operasi dari sistem tenaga listrik dan risiko terutama dari ketidakseimbangan yang dapat terjadi di dalam sistem. Selanjutnya, fokus kuliah akan ditujukan pada karakter dari pembangkit listrik intermiten sebelum kemudian kuliah ditutup dengan antisipasi dan best practices dalam mengatasi dampak dari integrasi EBT intermiten pada sistem tenaga listrik.
