The PODAS Scotland event is over. We ended in grand style with Steve and Kevin dressing in kilts and strutting in with a bag pipe to the special closing Scottish Dinner. This was a remarkable PODAS especially for Scotland because we were blessed with excellent weather each day. Great sunsets and gorgeous sunrise light. We covered a lot of territory and everyone got some beautiful images. All attendees will receive 2-30×40 prints of their choice as part of the PODAS workshop so they can see the amazing detail the IQ backs captures. We have attendees from all over the world. This includes Australia, USA, Canada, Turkey, Ireland,, Spain, Czech Republic, and Germany and also the UK. Hope you consider joining us for a PODAS. Next weekend we start the Monument Valley PODAS. Follow the workshop as it happens right here on the PODAS Blog.
The adventure never stops. PODAS unlike other workshops is an adventure. We go places others don’t go. We shoot a lot and we move a lot. We also have a lot of fun and a lot of laughs. The group from all over the world gets enthusiastic at great light and when they see they images in capture One 7. This has been a fantastic trip and on Friday we were blessed with an amazing sight with sunrise. The image above was made with an IQ180 at the sunrise. Below are some candid shots of the attendees.
PODAS has been going full speed since Monday. Usually in Scotland you can expect dull grey weather with a good possibility that out of 5 days you’ll have at least two with rain. Well the luck of pODAS held true this time and we had 5 days of the most amazing weather and light that you could ask for. From colorful sunsets to amazing morning light on Friday. The images being made by everyone are incredible and I will do my best to eventually put a gallery up of attendee images. I’ll also post a group shot in the next 24 hours. PODAS is working and growing. We had at least half of the attendees as returning PODAS alumni. Some have been to 5 PODAS workshops. We start another PODAS workshop in less than a week. Be sure to check back and visit us as we tour Monument Valley and the Slot Canyons.
The image today was made with an IQ 180 of the Glenfinnan‑Viaduct – Scotland.
The weather has been literally picture perfect. We have visited so many locations and shot so many incredible images. We are working with the NEW C1 7 and it is producing amazing results. This group of attendees from all over the world has been excellent to work with. We are all together from car rides to locations, meals and classroom. Many new friendships have been forged. Lots of laughs have been had. More than anything else many amazing images have been made. We will post a gallery of images once the worksop is concluded. In the mean time enjoy the candid images made while we are out working.
Please note, the candid shots are made with an Olympus OMD camera for the sake of ease in getting images to the web for the blog. All main images are shot with the IQ160 and IQ180 cameras that are used during the workshop.

Catching up on things a bit I would like to now share a gallery of Day One images that could not be uploaded previously. We had an excellent day with great light. Look for more images tomorrow.
We kicked off the PODAS Scotland workshop on Sunday. After a midday airport pick-up and drive out to Glencoe where we are based for this workshop we kicked off the workshop. There are a total of 21 of us all shooting with Phase One IQ systems and some with technical cameras. The week is jammed pack as are all PODAS workshops. The weather on Monday was great and we took full advantage of it. We topped the day off though at a remarkable sunset behind Stalker Castle. It was one of those one in a hundred colorful sunsets. The images everyone have made during the day are amazing. Watch for more as the week progresses. Enjoy.
Please note. We will try to post a gallery of photos from the workshop later. Internet connection issues is preventing us from posting a gallery at this time.
